“That’s a good photo of him,” Reese said as he showed Tori and Braddock the photo. “Right when he was under the light. Full face and everything.”

Tori gave the photo a look. “We could show it to Alisha.”

“Yes, but tomorrow,” Braddock said.

“You had the day,” Mileski said. “What do you think?”

“You took out these two kids because they could hurt you,” Vince answered. “I question the how, but not the why.”

“Is there anyone else out there that can hurt us?”

“First, if it is Marta out there stirring up this trouble, she can hurt us.”

“On that,” Mileski replied and gestured to a stack of documents, “our friends in Chicago sent along all this on the families of Horn, Jensen and Randall.”

“And?”

“The three families don’t have any ties to Chicago or our girl.”

“At least familial,” Vince replied, taking a drink of his whiskey. “But that isn’t the only problem. We have another perhaps more immediate one. Carlo has been observing it tonight.”

“And what do you propose to do?”

“What do you think?”

Mileski grimaced, knowing what that meant. “Do you really think it’s necessary? That could bring a lot more heat.”

“It’s what Bobby ordered me up here to do.”

“This isn’t Chicago.”

“It doesn’t matter. Look, Jimmy. You can either take on risk or eliminate it. You want to play insurance company on this?”

Jimmy sighed and shook his head. “When?”

“Tomorrow night.”
